A Brill afternoon!

This afternoon I took my youngest Nephew to Brill, a friends wife has put together an Explorers pack to encourage Children to explore and understand the diversity of the Common Land in Brill. We had an excellent afternoon identifying trees, insects, grasses, wild flowers and birds. As a bonus the Windmill was open so we explored that too, there are wonderful 360 degree views over the Vale of Aylesbury and Oxfordshire. The common is also home a small community herd of Dexter Cattle who are moved round the common to graze, the are a very docile and friendly herd, my favourite breed of cattle! We were also very lucky to see a Bee Orchid, a beautiful rare flower. Thanks for a great afternoon Toby :)
