Break for lunch

It was a good day to burn the pile of debris that G had already collected and to collect other stuff to add to it. The little John Deere riding mower and wagon came in handy for G to collect bigger stuff. I used the wheel barrow to collect smaller stuff. Good to clean up around the place, especially as we're heading into another hot summer with threats of wild fires. Quite a few already burning in the province. I always enjoy a few hours of good physical labour, and the weather was perfect, sunny but still cool in the shade. 
I saved up for a number of years, had a "secret bank account", and bought G the John Deere mower for one of his significant birthdays. Neither of us can remember which birthday! At the time, he was determined to continue to use the gas mower that he walked with around the fields. Didn't take him long to get used to the riding mower though!  It's a great piece of equipment, and with the addition of the wagon, he uses it for all kinds of jobs around the place that don't need the big tractor.
