Music of olden time
With the spring follows activities. Theatre yesterday, Music today and a concert with my group tomorrow. The performance today was held in the church of Glömminge, (a very old name, the church has been there since sometime during 1100 but the name is far older, it might evolve from 'Glom' which can mean something like 'open country' or bend, like in a bay.
The concert was dealing with music from 16-1700ds though, Bach, Dowland, Handel, Vivaldi... The guy to the left in the extra is a church musician who has in his job to arrange concerts with local musicians so he's playing all over the southern part of Öland in many constellations. The made a very enjoyable concert and the church accoustics were wonderful but the pews were horrible, narrow and slightly tilting forward. I'm glad it only lasted an hour, the sitting was beginning to get painful.
