Verity
Had a nice slow start this morning, then walked down to the seafront to meet up with Katherine and co. (We met them at the clapping circle, for another go at the amusing squeak that is returned from the side of Capstone when you clap your hands.)
We were pretty lucky with the weather - it had been raining before we set out, and it rained again on our way home, but it stayed dry for all the time in between. We walked round the back of Capstone Hill, down to the harbour, and had a close-up look at Verity (Damien Hirst's sculpture). We then carried on round the other side of the harbour (with a stop at a toy shop for Bluebell, where she acquired a couple of bears), to Rapparee Cove. Where Katherine, Bluebell and I went for a paddle :) (So cold!! But had to be done.)
After that, we went for a late lunch at Lime Kiln Cafe (made even later by a problem with their order tickets - but it was worth the wait). We walked back with Katherine and co to their car, said a brief goodbye and carried on to home.
Had a rest for a couple of hours, then had them all over to dinner. It was such a lovely evening - just so nice having my oldest friend here in my house, and we all had a lovely time chatting away over dinner, and after.
