The singing sculptures of the Hämeensilta bridge
Hubby did volunteering work in a family event in Pirkkala and I worked with my photos, choosing and editing some for a competition.
Then we ran some errands in the afternoon and I wanted to go and see sculpures on the Hämeenkatu bridge, because they participate to Finnish contemporary music :event Tampere Biennale - they talk and sing!!
The sculptures of the Hämeensilta bridge have silently endured the cold of winter and the heat of summer for nearly one hundred years, but for the Tampere Biennale, the sculptures by Wäinö Aaltonen will be granted their long-longed-for voice.
We walked next to every four sculptures, but two of them were silent! Maybe they had a rest.
