Relaxing day

Had a day of activity and reading.

Walked the hound, hung washing out, and chopped and sawed through ivy and buddleia overshadowing the pear tree in the morning. 

In the afternoon read in the garden.  The Merlin bird identification app on my phone told me that a chiffchaff, greenfinch, goldfinch, blue tit, long tailed tit, wren, blackcap and robin were singing in the garden.  The blue tits, long tailed tit and robin were the only ones visible.  Neighbouring gardens were remarkably quiet today.  It was delightful.

Have noticed speckled wood, holly blue and a yellow butterflies in the garden.

It's been a pleasant, warm day.  Tomorrow sees a change towards lower temperatures so the forecast states.
