First Power Station

…at Sigmaringen, now Baden-Württemberg, Germany. Installed in 1896, this hydroelectric plant was powered by the river Donau (Danube). It provided light to the Hohenzollern castle, resulting in a severe fire by poor safety regulations at its early times when power lines were installed. — On our way home we met up with old friends who live in the historic city.
