A wander up to Liverpool cathedral today, the C of E one this time. A gargantuan building and the 5th (or 4th/6th/7th depending on the source etc etc) largest in the World. Lots of good modern art and a great place for a wander. There was even a cafe inside where I was able to scoff a bacon and egg roll whilst feeling rather small and insignificant in these enormous surroundings.

A local brewery (Top Rope) had even brewed an IPA and lager for consumption but as we had been touring the craft beer venues of Liverpool the night before I wasn't tempted especially as they were the price of a reasonable DIPA at £6,50 a bottle. The night before I had drunk a third of a 13.5% impy stout that was cheaper than that.
