We had just visited the shipwrecks museum at the fort which described all the shipwrecks in these treacherous waters - the earliest recorded one being in 1390.
Really surprised at how many there had been - especially the larger cargo ships in more modern times.
However, looking out to sea at low tide you can see the rocks jutting up which have proved a challenge to navigators throughout the ages.
