GUESS WHERE WE'RE GOING TODAY?

Hello Lovely Blippers,

It’s a lovely sunny day - and we thought that as Mr. HCB no longer has his cricket buddy, Keith, to go with him to Bristol, because you will remember that sadly, he died last year, we would go with him today to keep him company.  Isn’t he the lucky one?

Leighton decided that he could drive, but JH Ted said he would keep an eye on him - but you know he is from a long line of opticians, so that shouldn’t be a problem.

P.C. Plod said he would make sure that Leighton doesn’t go over the speed limit and the rest of the Silly Saturday Gang said they would watch carefully too. 

We are just a bit worried that Mr. HCB won’t have enough food to feed us all - we’ve had a look in his lunch boxes and there seems to be quite a lot of snacky things but we know that there is at least one ice cream van at the ground and Mr. HCB says there is also a burger van, so we shouldn’t go hungry!

Baby Jay is really excited because, coming from America, he doesn’t know much about cricket and is really looking forward to being with us all - and we have said we will tell him what’s going on.  He thinks it’s really funny to hear things like “Silly mid-on”, “Short Mid-wicket” and “Leg Slip” - so thinks we will all fit in very well - us being the Silly Saturday Gang!

David the dog said he already feels car sick - so was leaning over the edge of the seat - oh dear, do hope he won’t disgrace himself and the rest of us.

Mr. HCB is worried because he’s not quite sure how he is going to afford to pay for us all - it’s £5 per ticket for us - so if there are 20 of us - you can work out, it will be quite a lot of money.  It’s a good job Mr. HCB has Life Membership, so doesn’t have to pay for himself.  

On top of that, ice creams are £2 each - he says he can’t afford BIG ones and if anyone wants a burger, they are about £5 each.  Mr. HCB has already said bacon rolls are cheaper, but Reeth said he just couldn’t eat one - it might be one of his cousins!! :-( 

Funnily enough, Mr. HCB never likes Mrs. HCB to go out with the credit card, but thinks that might be a cheaper option today!  Now that would make Admirer giggle!

Well, almost time to go - so we will bid you all farewell - and hope that Gloucestershire County Cricket Club do better today - Yorkshire were over 326 all out and  GCCC were 28 for 2 when Mr. HCB left last night.  I’m sure that with us all being there, and making lots of noise it will help the team - however, Mr. HCB is not so sure!

Whatever you do in the next week - remember to BE KIND - we try to be kind all the time and we hope that Mr. HCB thinks we are being kind going with him today.  Mind you, we wonder what Mrs HCB will get up to - you never know with her!
