Costa Rica Day 10 - Manuel Antonio
This morning at 5 am I woke up to what I thought was a jet flying over in a low pass. In fact it was some Howler monkeys who were having an early mornng party. Crikey they were loud.
It was a pretty leisurely day after that. We drove into Quepos, the small town to the North and had a look at a small market (some fruits in the first extra, clockwise from top Chinese Apples, mangoes, two types of avocado and some plums) We tried most of them and the plums and avocados were delicious as was a sapote (not pictured). The Chinese apples had the texture of a pear but not much flavour.
We walked along the river at low tide, posed at the Quepos sign, (second extra), inspected the main street (the toy? shop third extra) and had lunch along the river and watched some fisherman walk their boat in due to the low tide (fourth extra).
A trip to the roof top to watch the sunset is the main.
Tomorrow we head to Corcovado which will entail about a 2 hour drive and then a boat crossing of Drake Bay to get to our accommodation.
