King’s Cross
Mr P and I were up early this morning, finishing off our packing and closing up the house. Carole kindly picked us up at 9am and we took the bus up to Waverley and then the train to London. It’s much warmer than we’d anticipated down here. The trains were baking hot and because of a signal failure at Wimbledon, it took us longer than usual to get to Claygate (Surrey). My sister-in-law picked us up at the station and then she and my brother-in-law made us delicious Chinese food and plied us with a variety of drinks (mainly alcoholic). We enjoyed catching up with them and our nephews. However I suspect that I will have a bit of a sore head in the morning.
