Cowslips and Primroses
In and around our" lawn" right now are lots of cowslips and primroses. Over the years, these have hybridised to give rise to a variety of different forms. There is just one plant with these orange flowers, the others bearing flowers of different shades of yellow. In extras, is an upright form of primrose (rather resembling an oxlip), followed by a more typical cowslip. While I was out in the garden looking at these varieties, I was surprised to see five Ravens fly over! They were quite high up, and croaking loudly. ( I recorded them on my Merlin phone app, which also said they they were Ravens.)
