Hugh's Lane, Comrie
Today I was visiting the Earthquake House in Comrie. I was fully expecting to Blip this tiny building which I'm advised is the smallest listed building in the UK. As many of you may know, Comrie has a nickname as the Shaky Toon because of being on the Highland faultline so its a great place to record seismographic information. You can visit, by arrangement.
The access is via the little bridge on the left as you leave Comrie heading west - along a pretty road lined with traditional cottages. Then you get to Hugh's Lane (Hugh having been a shepherd who lived in the cottage nearest the Earthquake House) through a small gate and across a field of buttercups to the tiny stone building itself. I did take photographs.
However, returning through the field to the gate I saw the wall along the lane in all its glory - and the line of it through the green. None of that was so evident when headed in the other direction. All thoughts of the stone building vanished. Lesson of the day? Don't just look up. Also remember to look back!
The colours are exactly as they came from the camera. No Snapseedery or any other kind of enhancement :-). Just Scotland in all its green gloriousness.
