Studs

Today I removed the wheels with the studded winter tyres off the car and fitted the summer boots instead. These tungsten carbide studs driven into the rubber really are the answer to winter driving on snow and ice. Much loved by the rally brigade of course for winter events and those boys (and girls) simply do incredible things with cars on ice.
For those of my friends in Ireland and the UK, yes, the car came equipped with two complete set of wheels. This is the frozen North after all when winter sets in.
