Thank you Ingeborg for continuous abstract Thursday hosting!

I wanted to add a bit more to how powerful last nights concert was. Holly Near was born the same year I was and listening to her journey intermixed with songs last night was heart wrenching at times. She fell on ice while living in Boston and broke her shoulder and arm. Then to escape Bostons cold winters she returned to her beloved California . She proceeded to get a colonoscopy only to find out she had anal cancer. This resulted in chemo and radiation and a stroke!! She lost all her hair which eventually grew back in curly.
She said it literally brought her to her knees . She persevered and is back on tour now but having sone difficulties with remembering words at times. Her honest commentary was refreshing and we all applauded her journey .
