Tree Spirits

Plymouth and West Devon have been cloaked in thick mist all day. Despite the weather I went for a walk this afternoon on the common near Yelverton. This silver birch trunk seemed full of character. I first saw the shape of a primitive figure in the torn bark, but look carefully and you might also see the face of a young lady peering out!
