Loading Operations

This is what was anticipated following yesterday's blips.

Here we see the Xin Yao Hua is well submerged with only the extreme bow and stern structures above water.  The tugs are inching the jack-up rig, Valaris 247, into position to sit over the mid-section of the submerged deck (compare with yesterday's 'extra'). Progress was very slow and I left after an hour, mainly because it started raining.

I'll look back tomorrow when the transport vessel should have pumped out its tanks and the rig should be high and dry while it is secured.  From previous experience, that will take a couple of days before it sets off for Australia.
