Adonis, the Golden Flower …

… only grows in a few areas in Switzerland’s Valais. Now is a great time to follow the “Sentier des Adonis” (https://www.saxon.ch/sentier-adonis/ ). We were hoping for better weather this afternoon but the wind was unrelenting which made photography of these rare flowers very difficult! This group was just out of the wind. We saw a few purple mountain anemone (extra) also rare plants but they would have been much better a week ago.

Spending lots of time in the cage with Preston tonight before he goes to hospital tomorrow for his operation to fix his Achilles tendon. Poor lad, but he is in some pain we think, so the sooner this is done the better.
