That’s more like it
A nine inch angle grinder is a fearsome beast and it made short work of the rusty bits in the slot in the ballast keel. Before 11 the centre plate was in position and the pivot bolts all tightened up. A major relief.
Afterwards it was hands to scrapers and I attacked the old anti fouling paint on the bottom. Also discovered a nice red boot top that had been painted over.
Completed the starboard side by three and a third of the port side by just after four.
Have now had two mugs of tea and will be heading for the showers any minute.
The shoulders are really sore, hopefully they will recover overnight.
