Private Joke

Brother and sister, sharing a not-so-private joke aimed at me, on the pebble beach in front of Chowders eatery in the charming coastal town of Ogunquit, Maine. Cloud drove us through Newbury Port in Massachusetts, and Portsmouth in New Hampshire before reaching Ogunquit; along the way I was struck by Maine's beautiful coastline featuring numerous tree-covered rocky outcrops jutting into the sea. Maine is the seventh state we have visited so far, Cloud reminded us.
En route home, we took advantage of a welcome break in the weather and made for Plum Island to drive in the Parker River National Wildlife Refuge, my favourite spot of the day.
