PRIDE OF MADEIRA (ECHIUM candicans)

I have passed by this large shrub many times; & wanted to stop to get a Blip, while it is full bloom,  Today, I had a car full of groceries, but pulled over just in time. Check out the TINY photo bombers in my EXTRA.
I read they are starting to rebound, after years of decline.

I had a screen door installed on my back door a few weeks ago, & now a pair of flighty Mourning Doves are trying to come in for a visit.
It must be the same pair that came in while the windows 
were being washed, a few years ago  All the windows were open, the screens were off & in they came.  Luckily, they remembered how to exit,
without help.  They are so amusing to watch.
