Rooftops

My walk along the canal path this afternoon took me past these church rooftops in Maryhill. The church is Gairbraid Parish Church and the other rooftops are those of the adjacent church hall and manse.. 

My first post as a teacher was at the nearby primary school and we used to walk in a crocodile to the church for an end-of-term service. The headmistress did her best to pair me off with the young minister, which we both found amusing!

I like the dilapidated brickwork on that old chimney.
