Self Portrait with Pigeon

As if having a squirrel in the family wasn't enough, now there is also a King Pigeon. Our LA son and his wife adopted a stray pigeon over a year ago. Angie lives in a large indoor cage, and is allowed out to fly around the house. She took quite a liking to me and likes to sit on my head or shoulder, giving little love pecks. We did a little bobbing cooing pigeon dance, but I could not entice her to take a bath for the ultimate photo op. King pigeons are also called squab.
