Glasshouses

A dry, calm day, though mostly cloudy. Out in the afternoon to wander round the Botanics. There was large scale pressure washing in progress at the big restoration project at the Palm Houses. 
Tea at Inverleith House cafe; heard a woodpecker, my first this year, and watched a treecreeper repeatedly working up the bark about 4m away.

 Too busy for feeding robins, though there were several tweetling loudly as we walked past. Found paths blocked by big puddles in several places. The Water of Leith level was down significantly from Sunday.
