Sheep Sherry

The day started quite normally until my friend Chris decided she’d pop by later in the afternoon and drop some garden flags off for Toms allotment.

I shoved some cheese scones in the oven and went for a walk along the ridge in the sunshine.

Tom and Chris’s husband, David lifted each of the 25kg flags into place.

The cheese scones went down well, even though David said he didn’t like cheese scones, he polished off 3.

Chris and I enjoyed a bottle of Nyetimber before having a cheeky glass of sherry. I poured out a glass of Harvey’s each. Chris said she used it for her trifle. I said she should only use ‘Sheep’ sherry to make trifle. I’ll leave it there….
