Ad Gefrin

We planned on doing a hill walk but rain threatened and it was so windy I couldn’t catch my breath, so we stayed down low and mooched about Ad Gefrin.

It’s a plateau of sand and gravel but for over 5000 years it’s drawn people to it for religious ceremonies, to bury their dead and to meet their rulers.

I felt an immediate sense of tranquility on entering the area. There’s nothing at all to see now but somehow it felt very special.
