Bees and gooseberries

When passing the gooseberry bush it was buzzing although not a bee in clear view.

Warm sunshine later in the morning which encouraged humans as well as bees outside. We both spent time catching up out there, a pleasure after a ‘wild’ weekend. I spotted the thorns, a memory of them from harvesting last year. The flowers are looking healthy, so far.
