Green frog

Looking like he’s ready to jump. As we are having to go 27 km up and down the mountain this week to get to work , instead of 6 km, as the bridge is closed, I decided to call in at the Marais de Bex nature reserve on my way home.

The frogs were quiet but if you looked closely there were many of them about. See extra. I used the Merlin app to try to identify some of the many bird songs I could hear. It was amazing how accurate it was. There were many different species, including a Greater Spotted Woodpecker. Also saw a Coot with four tiny chicks which was a lovely surprise. Definitely worth stopping on the way home.
