Organic city twilight

The evening twilight is falling on the buildings of the Highcross shopping centre in the distance, but I'm more interested in this site in the foreground.

Seems prescient to what I started watching upon arriving home..

Now watching a lovely program recorded last year from BBC Four. Dan Cruickshank's The Bridges That Built London. A wonderful exposition of London's transport, trade and archeological history while discussing beautifully what these bridges mean as objects over the centuries and indeed what these structures have meant to the city's development. The sense of flux and impermanence of these sturdy rugged structures is incredible.

Might still be on the iPlayer, well worth a watch!
