Toasted cheese, sideways

I call it toasted cheese, there's also cheese on toast or roasted cheese. However you call it, have you ever tried toasting it in the toaster, sideways? I came across this today on the Twitter stream of @perform. I'm tempted to try it, but I have a feeling it may end in a kitchen disaster. This is probably just the kind of question that vexes someone with seven weeks' summer holiday. I'll let you know how it goes.
