The Finish Line...

...Of my first Park Run.

Finally talked myself into having a go. It's a measured 5km timed run. All run by volunteers.

A nice email told me....

'Congratulations on completing your 1st parkrun and your 1st at Preston today. You finished in 54th place and were the 4th lady out of a field of 136 parkrunners and you came 3rd in your age category'.

'You achieved an age-graded score of 61.94%'

'You have earned 97 points for this run, giving a total of 97 points in this year's Preston points competition'.

Bit of a confidence boost after things I have been dragged through recently. I'll be back to have another go but unfortunately this time I will know about the hill beforehand!

The slight competitive edge in me means I'll be trying to beat my time.

"The miracle isn't that I finished. The miracle is that I had the courage to start."
