Oompah

To Aubeterre in the Charente for a lunchtime stroll. Ended up having a big salad across the square from an enthusiastic bunch of brass band buskers (see extra). The sousaphone ( I think but happy to be corrected) was laying waiting to be deployed. 

pretty son the musicians left the bar and started playing a syncopated version of I Will Survive. Very catchy and effective.

In other news, the evenings have been spent in front of a log fire watching the new series of Talented Mr Ripley. Entirely shot in b & w. Very menacing and compelling.
