Clinging on
I found this wasp in a gap between some shrubs, so fairly sheltered from the remnants of Storm Kathleen. Despite the warmth today, she was very, very docile and didn't cause any objection when I pushed a macro lens at her. After a few seconds she did eventually shift her position to move away from me, and I took pity on her and moved back.
A few minutes later again she was still there, but when I checked on her again she had gone (flown off or eaten by a bird, who can say).
