Brighton Marathon

Today we went to watch my friend run the Brighton Marathon.   It was a lovely sunny day.  We went to the quieter end of the course where it loops so saw her three times at approx miles 10, 11 and 12.  There was a jeep set up blasting out music and it was such a great atmosphere.  We walked along the beach on the way back to the car and the waves were big and noisy and we all got splashed!  The girls trainers were full of water and John got soaked (see extra).  It looks worse than it was, the waves were big but no where near the top of the wall, it was just the spray where they were breaking against the wall lower down.   

John and I went to the cinema this evening to watch Dune 2. It was really good.
