Mistletoe

West Wycombe Park has just opened for 5 afternoons a week. The wind kept the crowds away today and we nearly had it to ourselves.  I love these huge willows on the banks of the stream festooned with mistletoe.

The wind dried the grass so I mowed this morning.  I was astounded that the mower started on the third pull, that never happens after months of idleness!  We started #nomowmay in lockdown, but it quickly became #nomowuntilseptember, apart from a patch for the deckchairs and a couple of paths so we don't get drenched when the grass is wet, and that's what got mowed today.  Roll on Summer!
