Bumblebee

After some early rain this morning,  the sun came out .. and although it was still quite breezy, I did get out for a walk. I spotted this rather large bumblebee on a dandelion. My attempt to identify it leads me to think it is a tree bumblebee.

Even though the flower was almost on the ground it was still getting buffeted by the wind and my early attempts at a photo showed a lot of motion, so I switched the flash to ‘forced on’ to get a higher shutter speed.

A new modelling project is underway….an Airfix kit of a British Cromwell tank from WW2…
