Son in the sun

We picked J up from Manchester station this afternoon after his long journey back from work in Antarctica.  The first part of his journey was on the RRS Sir David Attenborough, hence the t-shirt which shows the names of the BAS bases there - Rothera, Halley, Signy (where he was based), Bird Island and King Edward's Point on South Georgia.
