Went to mow

An exciting day on many levels... 

We took Dot to dog school this morning, it was really good fun. I think she got a gold star for being a lovely collie.

I then sorted the mower! I tested the starter motor (just connect a 12v +ive feed to it) and it was fine. So I then cleaned up the ignition switch connections, and as many other electrical bits as I could fine and ....

It works, well it did until the brackets that hold the deck (the cutter bit) on sheared off (they were very rusty). I think I got about 15% of the garden cut. New brackets on order, hopefully they will fit. I think it is time to start looking for a new mower. We've had this one for over 10 years and it didn't cost a lot.
