Reaching Out and Touching

Dinner of delicious fish soup for Bb and hearty caldo Gallego (Galician stock soup) for me in Ancares, where we talked about and witnessed the power of touch. The waiters and owner seem to look after the older customers who go in (often alone) and have a chat with them and touch their shoulder etc. When we give something to eat or a little cash to Carlos, a local houseless person in our barrio, Bb shakes his hand. We wondered how much other contact he gets (or indeed would like). It was a good end to our day.
