Big Beetle

My blip was going to be a dung fly blowing a bubble until I spotted this rose chafer on a bramble. I love these massive beetles. It was quite sluggish. I have never seen them before June in the past.  Many insects have hairy eyes but I was interested to see that this has a tuft of bristles in its eye. I've added an image to extras which shows the insect in its entirety.
