And we’re off!
The day felt long waiting for the evening come as our flight wasn’t until 9.30pm. The traffic’s was good to the airport, check in ran smoothly and we left on time. The plan had been to sleep most of the flight but it’s never as easy as that. Several meals were served, none of us could really get comfortable, other children were screaming and, by the end of the flight I had a migraine and was feeling really sick! Thankfully I had my tablets and managed to ease the symptoms just in time to land in a very hot & humid Sri Lanka. We had a very quick turn around and were the last ones to board the flight to Male, having joined the queue for customs & immigration before realising we didn’t need to. The second flight went quickly and we landed in Male to enjoy a very relaxing lounge. Anya & Max were getting very impatient as we waited to board the seaplane; we were all pretty exhausted! The seaplane was worth the wait though, an amazing experience!
