This afternoon, we dodged the showers to visit Stourhead. The grounds look beautiful but the lake is at the lowest level we've ever seen - the dam has a leak so the lake is being drained to allow a temporary repair to be made. Stourhead is a Grade 1 Listed Landscape so many hoops have to be jumped through before the proper work can be done. The temporary repair will hopefully prevent the leak from getting worse.
