Roe deer

Around and on the (dead) volcano close to our house live at 60 roe deer. Today I saw just a dozen of them. One buck waited patiently until I took my picture and only ran away when his family group fled passed him.

By the way: Renfrebar spoke lately with someone from Cologne, who had never ever seen a roe deer in the wild. Mind you, in Germany over one million of these lovely animals are shot per year, to prevent over-population.
