Green With Envy

We’re all savoring the grass today. The robins, starlings, squirrels, cardinals, blackbirds, even mourning doves. I’ve seen them pushing their way through unruly blades in search of lost seed or lazy bugs, happily pecking and scratching. Not a care in the world. Finally the lawn is greening up and drying out. Oh, Spring, how I love thee! Today sneakers found my feet! I was giddy over not having a jacket! BUT our world is about to change. By tomorrow evening all will be white • Bah Humbug! • Peace & Love
