Flying Kites

Over to West Kirby to meet up with friend I. Apart from J’s funeral I’ve not seen him since 2019. He and J have three grandchildren since then, which is where J is today.

I’ve been to their house before, but not visited West Kirby more generally. So today I had a guided tour of the marine lake, the old village, the Wirral Way, a good local pub, and early evening an Italian restaurant. We agreed I would return for a walk over to Little Eye and Hilbre islands which sit in the Dee estuary and are accessible on low tides.

I took a lot of photos of the fantastic cloudscapes today. This isn’t the best, but I enjoyed watching the kite action.
