Lost in the mist…
Wide awake by 3.30am, so just accepted it and did wordle and read the papers etc til it was a better time to get up. Reached my 700th day streak on Duolingo at least!
Catch up call with VG then started to look up how to make a Blurb book of our trip…for those who use them can you add a lot of text or only photos?
Had a look for a cottage for a summer trip up north and found some options, then L&M and (3 of) their kids arrived. We went for lunch at The Outsider but the horrible damp, miserable weather meant the castle was completely invisible in the mist. We had lovely fish pies, burgers, mussels and etc, chatting about university choices, Ukrainian refugees, the crusades, hotels, Borneo and bus passes. Afterwards we dashed home in the mizzle…really very unpleasant weather!
M took L to the airport so she could get home for work and once he got back we had a bit of a chat but I was drooping and needed to go for a snooze. I had a good hour and woke up confused about what time it was - felt like the morning!
I’ve felt very lazy and lacking in motivation today, so it was nice to have some company to liven me up a bit, and hopefully I’ll sleep better tonight but on the other hand if this weather continues it’s going to be hard to feel any better tomorrow!
