Cutting edge technology . . .

I was going to present this cropped well in as a mystery object, but I prefer this image so it’s less of a mystery.
 
 
Did not do a lot today, except put heat reflective film on the back door window.  Both our utility room and the back door annex suffer from heat exhaustion with the hot sun that we’ve been getting in recent summers.  I bought the film and did the utility room door last October, and have finally got round to doing the back door today.  Quite satisfying really.
