The Fool on the Hill ……

G was quite happy to pose on top of one of the sand dunes at  Morfa  Conwy, even knowing the theme of today’s challenge. 

Of course, I’m not suggesting for one moment that he is a fool - far from it, just as the eponymous subject of the song is not.  Many have tried to delve into the meaning of McCartney’s enigmatic lyrics. Apparently, he revealed it to be about Maharishi, the spiritual leader seen as a fool by many, but in his eyes, the wisest of us all. And of course, there is a long tradition of the fool in literature who paradoxically has profound wisdom rather than idiocy - like The Fool in Lear. 

g’s certainly no fool - he certainly has far more wisdom than I do (just don’t tell him I said this!)
