Sally Mair - Loving life

Watching and Waiting

I had a good night with Josie last night. Ali put her to bed before they left and apart from a couple of cries as she stirred at around 6am and again at 7, she slept till 8.30 this morning, and so did I, albeit lightly.
She was singing when she woke and we went through and had cereal together for breakfast. We spent the morning doing jigsaws together, Josie playing with her dolls (sorry, babies) and watching Bluey (both of us but mainly Josie).
We had a lovely happy morning then after lunch, she went for her usual 2hr nap. Stuart was picking her up in the late afternoon and once he'd phoned to say he was on his way she went and got the stool from the bathroom to watch for him coming.
The other thing I did today was to my lovely clock of AbFab style and connection.
I had to get new hands for it a while ago but was only able to get black ones. They really didn't look right, the originals were brass, so I dug out some Goldfinger paste which a picture framer friend gave me a few years ago. I put it onto the hands yesterday and refitted them today. I'm really pleased with them, the clock looks much more like its old self. extra.
Now I'm at Katy's for a sleepover, Jon is on nights, she has an early start tomorrow and the girls are on holiday. Fingers crossed for a quiet night.
